Don’t these weeks have a way of going fast when you chasing freight….YEP!
These last two weeks I have been going hard – in doing so I have found myself doing more carrier packets than usual. I have a tip to pass on to you regarding the matter.
You may have not experienced this yet, but some brokers will ask for a reference list. Be proactive and create one for your driver so you won’t be scrambling to get it done during an urgent moment. Most brokers only want 3 names of brokers the driver has worked with. Include name of brokerage, contact person, phone, email and web address if applicable. If your driver is new, compile this list with the first 3 loads you book for them.
Be prepared – returning a competed carrier packet in a timely fashion is critical – you don’t need anything to slow you down.
